Aliana Velazquez, a character in the Laws of Attraction series, is the victim of a murder of which Marcus Sharpe stands accused. She is first mentioned in Book 1, Chapter 8.
Appearance
Aliana had brown eyes, dark blonde shoulder-length hair, and tan skin.
Personality
From what you speculate and from what her friends and co-workers have said, Aliana was an intense, focused individual who could be sociable when warranted but could also be relentless in the pursuit of set goals. She originally was from Oklahoma and had strong ties to her past, and seemed genuinely nice.
According to Marcus, Aliana had a tight inner circle of friends. When they broke up, they didn't want to lie to their closest friends and they also couldn't risk their break up going public. So she spent less time with said group.
Aliana was also big on volunteering and donating, spending most of her time at an after-school program for kids in underserved communities and Save Our Seas, an environmental charity.

Relationships
Marcus Sharpe
Aliana was supposedly Marcus's girlfriend, but further investigation into her murder case implies that the two of them hadn't been intimate for a long time, such as Marcus sleeping in her home's pool house. Despite their break-up, Marcus says they were still best friends. He tells you that his mother thought of Aliana like a long-lost daughter.
Before her murder, Marcus and Aliana had a large joint birthday party at her home with many guests. In her bedroom, she kept a poster from Marcus's first film.
Kayle McGuin
Kayle was one of Aliana's costars on the set of Varsity Murders. If you decide to go to the speakeasy with Kayle and Teddy, Kayle tells you that she had the sense that Aliana was getting obsessed about a new target. She doesn't believe Aliana was cheating on Marcus, but whenever Kayle would ask Ali to go out with them, Aliana would decline and give excuses.
Teddy Birch
Teddy was one of Aliana's costars on the set of Varsity Murders. When you visit the set, Kayle and Teddy mention that they thought she seemed on edge, but she didn't say why. If you decide to go to the speakeasy with Kayle and Teddy, they tell you that Aliana and Marcus used to be very sociable, throwing parties and planning nights out and Marcus would visit Aliana on set all the time. However, it had been months since the co-stars were last invited to do anything after work with them and even longer since they had seen Marcus.
They also say that Aliana had always been "intense", and had gone Method when she had first started on Varsity Murders, creating socials as her character and dressing like a high school student in her downtime. When she had something in her sights, Aliana became "relentless" and Kayle and Teddy both sensed she had found a new obsession.
Ted
Ted was Aliana's trainer. He discovered her body.
Peter Koenig
Marcus did not ask Aliana about her personal relationships after they broke up, but he remembers seeing a black SUV parked in front of Ali's home during many evenings. He figures Ali did not introduce him to who it was because she was trying to protect him and would tell him if it became serious. On the night of her murder, Marcus had seen the black SUV outside the main gate around 11pm but had not seen the car later the following morning.
If you help Aislinn question Jacob, the security guard who had deleted the footage of the night of her murder, he tells what he had seen on the footage. He had seen the black SUV lingering outside of the gates, and a guy enter through the pedestrian gate. He was going to log the information but someone had called the guard booth directly, stating that he was calling for Aliana and that she wanted the footage deleted. Jacob tells you that only Aliana and Marcus had that private number of the guard booth, and it wasn't a strange request since Aliana had asked Jacob to delete footage in the past.
As you dig into Aliana's past activities, you find footage of a man with his baseball cap pulled low just like the photo of the man outside the pedestrian gate at her home. If you continue to dig deeper into the research, Will -a private investigator- gives you information that you share with the others. If you don't research deeper, Aislinn discovers the information and shares it with you and the others: a police report filed a few months ago when Aliana's car was broken into at the Hotel Papillon. On the report lists Peter Koenig as her companion.
Marcus claims that as an environmentalist, Aliana hated people like Koenig. She believed that his chemicals were causing more damage to the planet than anyone seemed to realize.
It was eventually revealed that the relationship was fake and Aliana was gathering evidence to prove that Koenig Chemical was intentionally using the same hazardous materials that killed her brother years prior. Eventually, Koenig found out about this and ended her life.
Jackson Blackstone
Jackson Blackstone is Aliana's ex-boyfriend. He is a songwriter who writes personal details about his breakups in his songs. Before they officially broke up, he leaked nude photographs of Aliana to a gossip site.
